About Me

Ox Tackle Developments Ltd came about as a result of my personal desire to live and work on Waiheke Island and in an industry that I have been a part of in some shape or form since year dot.

I first started fishing as a young boy living on the Hibiscus Coast. As a kid I used to rummage around the rocks and the shoreline with my buddy looking for bits of old line, tying them together to make one long line, picking a limpet or periwinkle out of its shell, tying it to the end of the line and throwing it into the ocean in the hope of catching a big fish!

My fishing obsession has continued ever since and after a few years working in the fishing retail trade I set up in business, living the dream as a professional fisherman and fishing tackle specialist.
